In 1943, the Allies' war efforts finally hit their stride. For the Western Allies, the teetering of Fascist Italy offers the prospect of a return to Europe, and to provide a much needed reassurance to Stalin of greater efforts to come. However with the main German effort being in the East, the recently triumphant Red Army knows that the Heer is not yet done with trying to take back the initiative. The roads to Berlin and the Ruhr will be long and costly.
Fall of the Third Reich is Compass Games' recent grand strategic game of the last two years of the war in Europe. Nazi Germany has played its grand strategic cards and is now locked into a setting of its own choosing. Now the Allies will have to decide what is the best way to force the war to a conclusion. Designed by Ted Raicer, this game is relatively simple to play. Unlike many grand strategic games on this subject the decisions on wartime production have mostly been made. Each turn is roughly two months.
